Jim Kilgariff (head writer Karen's father) doesn't like that
Ellen doesn't tuck in her shirts. Fashion and styles being cyclical.
Notes:
Ellen is
trying to find a job for Lisa Lam (who appeared in one of the
promos at a grocery store, and is 'audience ambassador' in episode 1-005; she lost her job at the grocery
store) by asking people to log on to the website. Lisa is temporarily
a correspondent for the talk show, until Ellen helps her find
a different job.
Ellen mentions naming the puppy.
Ellen talks about the crew's trip to the LA Dodgers game
for the show crew, and about Jeff Sammon (segment producer) almost
catching a foul ball. Jeff sits in during the show and Ellen
(and guests) throw baseballs as he successfully catches them!
People who could not come into the studio audience are
sitting in the overflow, which Ellen calls, "The Experience."
Ellen said she'd try to
do special things for them - she brought Sharon out there to
meet them. Later, Ellen checks in on them, and catered food had
been brought in. When Thicke sang, she invited the group into
the main studio and they sat on the platform with Ellen and Amanda.
