• Ellen is trying to find a job for Lisa Lam (who appeared in one of the promos at a grocery store, and is 'audience ambassador' in episode 1-005; she lost her job at the grocery store) by asking people to log on to the website. Lisa is temporarily a correspondent for the talk show, until Ellen helps her find a different job.
• Ellen mentions naming the puppy.
• Ellen talks about the crew's trip to the LA Dodgers game for the show crew, and about Jeff Sammon (segment producer) almost catching a foul ball. Jeff sits in during the show and Ellen (and guests) throw baseballs as he successfully catches them!
• People who could not come into the studio audience are sitting in the overflow, which Ellen calls, "The Experience."
Ellen said she'd try to do special things for them - she brought Sharon out there to meet them. Later, Ellen checks in on them, and catered food had been brought in. When Thicke sang, she invited the group into the main studio and they sat on the platform with Ellen and Amanda.
